FAQs

  • What is Virtual Human Resources?

VHR is a continuous HR service for companies who don't require a permanent HR Manager, but have realised they could benefit from the regular support of an HR professional. Many of our services are provided remotely and this enables VHR to provide a highly professional service to numerous businesses simultaneously.

This approach means that businesses with only 20 employees can have full-time access to HR services at very little cost. Higher service levels also include regular on-site attendance, especially during implementation phases. We are even able to completely manage the HR function for you, for less than it would cost to have a part-time HR professional one day per week.

  • How can HR be managed from a remote location?

We use three complementary methods to achieve a consistent presence in businesses who have selected the Managed HR Service Level.

    • The first and most obvious method is using technology to provide a continuous communication link.
    • The second method is using site visits to achieve specific goals; such as implementation, audits, meetings and training sessions.
    • The third method we use is to train one of your administration employees to be the HR coordinator at your work site for a percentage of their time. This role would always have the back up of our HR specialists.
  • What are the benefits for businesses?

The benefit for Business managers is that they can have confidence that all their HR documentation, processes and records are compliant with Industrial Relations and OHS laws, and that these will remain compliant regardless of how often the law changes.

  • How do I know if my business currently meets all IR & OHS requirements?

We can assess your current status by conducting a full audit report of your HR documentation. This service will involve a full safety inspection, a document and records audit as well as a training needs analysis. This report will clearly reveal your company's strengths and weakness in meeting HR legal requirements.

This report does not obligate you to progress further with VHR. A preliminary compliance audit involves an hourly rate of payment and this service can be a simple outline or an in-depth study, depending on your specifications. Click here to book a compliance audit.

  • What are the costs of an annual subscription?

VHR Clients pay an annual subscription based on the service level they require. We can provide you with a no obligation quote over the phone. Click here to contact us. The cost is far less than employing a HR Manager one day per week.

  • Can I start at one level of service and then upgrade later?

Yes you can! If you do choose to upgrade later then the subscription previously paid will be transferred to the new service for the remaining 12 month period. Upgrade from HR Support Service level to HR Management Service level simply requires an audit of your current status. You can also drop a level, which is excellent for companies who grow to a size where they can support a permanent HR professional but still feel they require back-up.

  • Are there any additional costs?

Our philosophy at VHR is to have a completely transparent pricing policy. Every inclusion in a package will be clearly itemized in all proposals and marketing materials. There will be no surprises. We do not charge an hourly rate on top of the subscription fee.

Sometimes companies may require services that are not provided by VHR in order to remain compliant. Services provided by accredited auditors and trainers from external providers, including workcover, are not included in VHR package prices.

  • What happens when the 12 months subscription ends?

The subscription for compliance services needs to be renewed every 12 months if a business wishes to continue using VHR products and services. Renewal prices will be at least 25% less than the initial 12 months. This is because the first year subscription reflects the greater workload involved in establishing your HR function and this is less intensive in subsequent years.
